Tony Caracci is recognized as one of the leading wine experts in New York . His specialty is helping people select affordable, unique wines that taste great and go perfectly with specific menus.

Tony discovered at a young age that he had a talent for selecting wines that appealed to most people. With a good nose and sharp pallet Tony has a gift for defining the different flavors and essence of wines.

In 1986 Tony worked for Ron Darling of the New York Mets at a popular Manhattan restaurant that built an extensive wine collection. It was here that Tony developed a passion for wine and a love for exposing people to new, fun tastes. Tony devoted a significant amount of time to studying wine in all of its aspects. From the regions different labels were being produced to the processes of each vineyard to mass production.

Through these intense studies Tony focused on finding new, fun wines that tasted like more expensive wines and appealed to most people. Tony calls these wines “Hidden Treasures”.

Tony's experience ranges from his early days at hotspots in Manhattan to New York area country clubs to fine restaurants. Each of which served in honing his skills at selecting great ones for both experienced wine connoisseurs and beginners. Tony has said “I have had many great experiences working with people who desire very specific tastes, such as at country clubs to people who are new to wine and looking for something exciting without being intimidated. Through these experiences I have had the fortune of being able to direct people to wines that left them with a strong impression and given them a new perspective”

Tony now works at Hudson 's Mill in Massapequa , NY where he selects wines from many manufacturers around the world. He calls this vast wine cellar - His fortress of solitude. “The great thing about my current position is I have the opportunity to give personal attention to anyone who walks in the door and introduce them to new, fun wines that can make a lasting impact.

If an experienced wine lover walks in I can find something that suits their tastes along with recommendations on new wines that fit in to what they are looking for. If someone new to wine walks in I love making their experience fun by giving them different wines that expand their pallet”
In addition to his wide range of experience Tony also teaches adult wine classes and has received many accolades and honors in the industry.
