My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

The other day I started hearing more and more drum beats about the “Tea Party” and what they are trying to accomplish, and this got the Muse thinking.  Of course, the LSM does not see their efforts as trying to accomplish anything rather than their trying to destroy the Country.

When one is faced with something they do not know, do not understand and fear, their first reaction is to belittle and insult it with the hope that it will go away.

I have read articles and received emails from some of you on just this topic.  Barely a day goes by that there is not a small item or letter to the (liberal) editor caviling against that which We the People are trying to do: Wrest our Country from the brink of socialism.

Hark back to last summer, the Town Hall meetings and the first concerted efforts of the Tea Party.  (For sake of simplicity, I am going to lump all who are in active or tacit agreement with the idea of retaking our Country as “We”, “Us” or “We the People.”   Feel free to opt out of that if you wish.)  They ridiculed Us as being naïve and jejune. They belittled our efforts.  They called us “thugs” for the way We treated the elected officials.  They, including Janet from Another Planet, called us “Terrorists.”

It takes one to know one, bucko.

Trying to minimize our efforts the scant reporting was met with demands for more coverage.  We got our wish.  There is greater coverage now, but it is virtually all negative.  In the LSM and so on, of course.

Yet, the story has become so large, the movement(s) so great that even the NY SLIMES has to weigh in. *  They start off slow and one almost gets the sense that it is a somewhat sympathetic piece.  Then they throw in a side order of “John Birch Society” with a little “Friends of Liberty” on top on a bed of “Oath Keepers” and a litany of other organizations.

I do not need to list the objects of our scorn and mistrust, but most are limned in the article.  And dare I say, I must agree with most of what they consider “targets.” 

Telling is the praise of Hank, slightly veiled of course so as not to tip their hand too much, who “complains” that these groups are serving to undermine bi-partisan efforts.  The SLIMES lets that go without comment for some reason neglecting the fact that it is Hank & Co and the Reid/Pelosi Gang, who are doing all the “undermining.” 

It is a longish article but I encourage you to read it all.  I hate to say it and I know it was not their intent but they do a very good job of detailing the various organizations, the object of our discontent and the marshalling of everyday people this effort. 

Of course you have to read between the lines and blot out other lines as they make their sales pitch that We the People are dangerous, demented, disgruntled activists.  (In typical Lib fashion, they did not think this all the way through. I am sure that the editor of this piece saw this as damning evidence against us but in reality provided a glimpse into what the other side thinks about us.)  Oddly enough, when the Left does exactly what we do, it is a good thing in their eyes.

Now, to the Tea Party at large. 

Regardless of your feelings for the Tea Party one way or another we must not lose sight of the one, true goal:  The election of the right people who will actually represent us in Congress and not be the toadies and lackies for the DNC and Lord knows whoever else is pulling the strings.

(To amplify on this I will henceforth refer to the 2^nd of November not as “Election Day” but to make our point crystal clear as “Firing Day.”)

But at this point one thing is critical.  We must be UNITED and not DIVIDED in any way, shape, form or political party. Reagan alluded to just this in citing that there was not a need for a third party but for a strengthened Republican Party.  Allow me to amplify on this.

I know that not all of you dear readers are Republicans.  There are some Democrats, Independents, Conservatives and sprinkling of Liberals (tell your friends to read this!) as well as those who profess to belong to other smaller parties.  That is all well and good as long as we do not sacrifice our goal in exchange for political party fealty.

SIDE BAR:  As I have said, I am an Independent, stop laughing, but a registered Republican for the purpose of the primaries.  If a candidate is running on one of the major party lines but is also on a minor one, I gen’ly will vote for him or her on the minor party line.  If a person is endorsed by the New Party, Working  Families (who gen’ly are neither) or other Socialist-type party, that will immediately disqualify that person from my vote, save that they are basically unopposed and running on every ticket.

SIDE BAR Cont’d: Note about party registration:  As I said I am registered Rep for the purposes of voting in the primary.   I mentioned some time ago that it might be a somewhat clever idea if we could get all of the right-thinking people to change their affiliation for that purpose, selecting the right person in the primary, ergo ensuring that we would actually have the choice between two good candidates or vote to have someone totally unelectable to stand for their party.   (The problem with that is the second part, there are far too many unelectables in Congress already. Don’t laugh, do not think that the opposition would not or has not done the same thing.) 

The point being is that we must not get caught up in the hysteria of certain groups or parties and dividing the good intentions of We the People for the purpose of making a point.  The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Yes, by all means, go to the rallies, check out the candidates that these groups support.  But, first of all take stock of YOUR values, YOUR morals, YOUR goals and then any only then vote for the person who best represents YOU. 

Do not be like the liberal (and to be fair some Republican) lemmings who will vote purely on party line.  This Misadministration has done us a favor, they have pierced the veil between good and evil in politics and allowed us to see what happens when the keys to the Country are put in the hands of those who do not have what is good for We the People on their agenda. 

The time for an ideological kakistocracy has ended.  We have seen what evil can be done in a short period of time by those who opposed our will.   Fortunately, I hope, they have over-played their hand, shot their wad too early and simply assumed that we would follow them to the gates of hell.

Take a look at health skare as a microcosm of this Misadministration.  This was slapped together with very little input from Hank but with a lot from Rahmbo and others.  Remember when he said that it had to be passed right then and there?  Then there was the 2^nd ultimatum that it had to be passed by the summer, then by the recess, then by Thanksgiving, then Christmas?  It is February and the ultimatums have stopped, or so it seems.  And so has the demand for the so-called “public option”, as they would have us believe. 

The thing with a bully is that he will posture and threaten you as long as you let him.  As soon as you confront him he will back down.  Now, depending on the desperation of the coward, he will do one of two things:  He will back down and run away and pick on someone else, or he will back down and then blind side you with an unexpected attack.  Methinks we may be faced with the latter kind of coward.  We shall see.

Lastly, apropos of nothing, there is a link below.  I usually do not send out links like this as there is much that is not verified and much is speculation.  I have sent this to some of you under a different email for your feed back before I entertained adding it here.  But in watching it a few times it posed more questions than it answered but it did answer a few.  Additionally there some rather interesting pictures that paint a story that no amount of written proof could dispel.  Again, watch this with the caveat that I neither support nor dismiss the contents.  It is rather disturbing and ought to be regarded with some skepticism but yet, with an open mind.

Hope you all had a very Happy Valentine’s Day and if you are a fan, enjoyed the Olympics and the Daytona 500!

I have received a number of very encouraging emails from you in response to the last FISH.  If this is representative of the population at large, we ought to be in good shape come November. 

That said, there are a few things that ought to be discussed so as not to screw things up.  They say that if a man is dead set on killing himself the last thing you want to do is to get in his way.  Now, that can be a metaphor for politics as well.

Hank is doing a bang-up job making himself look silly.  Between bowing to other folks, using his trusty TelePrompTer, verbal gaffes (saying ”corps” as “corpse”, instead of “core”, proves this he has not clue one about things military), not wearing a tie, and his continuous presence on TV are all working against him.

LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!  HE IS BRINGING HIS OWN ROPE!

I get and I am sure you have seen a number of emails regarding Hank’s birth place, his history, or more accurately lack of it, and so on.  I am not going to debate the relative merits of these or anything else at this point.

The problem lies in the fact that there are precious little “facts” on both sides of the equation.  Let’s examine one aspect, his birth,

Now, I am not convinced that he was born in Kenya or the United States, for that matter.  Was he deposited here like an Anti-Klaatu or did he just materialize out of the ether, I do not know. 

What I do know is that he was elected president and if there was some absolute, incontrovertible proof that he was, in fact, born outside of the US or if he was that he did not meet the levels of residency required if born of a legitimate Citizen, it was not forthcoming during the election cycle.

Think about it, do you think for a moment the Republican Party would not have investigated such an important claim?  Don’t you think that there are those who do not have an axe to grind might have done some research to find out where he was born?

Yes, I know that some f the details are sketchy and some are rather damning on the surface, but to my knowledge there has not been proof positive either way at this point where he was born.  And in our system of jurisprudence we need to come up with some solid proof.

Then there is the other side of the equation, and that one is too freaking scary to considered and since I am not lacking any tacos on my combo plate, I do not give it much credence, but ought to be exposed anyway.

The real conspiracy nuts out there (and even though they are nuts, that does not mean that they are always wrong, to be fair!) assert that the fix was in and both sides signed off on it.

I have detailed on these pages how Jimmah Cahtah, up until Jan 09 the worst president of the modern era, was plucked from obscurity by David Rockefeller for the gig.  Rockefeller is a member of CFR, TLC, Bilderberg and other groups of One-Worlder's.  Hank was similarly met by Rockefeller.

If Hank was tapped by the Dark Side for president, there is little doubt that if there is anything squirrely in his past that the leaders of both parties knew about it and they kept their mouths shut for any number of reasons.

 I am not suggesting that we go whistling past the graveyard when it comes to groups like these. While they have power, they do not have that much power and they are massively outnumbered.   All in all, saving either a suspension of elections, declaring martial law or just rigging the elections electronically, we should make our voices heard, cast our votes and take back our country.

What I am suggesting is that we do not do or say things that are unverifiable as that will serve to compromise anything that we do have as ammunition against him.

“Yeah, sure, the health skare plan is going to erode our liberties and raise our taxes.  That line was said by the same group that claimed than our Beloved Leader was born in Kenya!  Do you think he was born in Kenya?  I did not think so!”

You get the picture.

They are giving us enough ammunition to use against them without having to resort to claims that most of We the Sheeple would not believe.  It will make the real claims seem equally implausible. 

Look at what they are doing to Sarah Palin.  You know that they must be afraid of her otherwise they would not spend so much time picking her apart.  And you know what will happen.  Someone else will come along who is basically in-step with Palin and the first time the guy or gal makes a mist step or uses the wrong word, the pundits will say: “See, so and so said XXXXXXX, just like when Palin said that she could see Russia from her house!

And we all know that Palin never said that she could see Russia from her house. The LSM were fast to report that but precious few, if any, retracted the error.  But, it makes no difference, people thing she is a dim bulb because of some of the things the media mis-reported

They will do the same thing again this and next election cycle, I can assure you.

So, if we do the right things, if we do not sink to their level, we increase our chances come November.  They have nothing to lose (really, they have everything to lose) by playing dirty.  And they can get their hand caught in the cookie jar and look We the People square in the eye and say: “Sure we are doing dirty tricks, so are the other guys!  At least you know who we are!  Who knows what THEY might do!”

If we have not sunk to their abysmally low level we can make a big deal ought they say something like that.  We can hold news conferences and the like and claim “foul” and expose them for the cads we all know that they are.

I am not saying that we ought to turn the other cheek each time they b!tc# slap us, but we can get down and dirty without being criminal about it, something that I would think that is in their play book.

 On the bright side of things, Sen. Evan Bayh (D-UMMY) of Indiana has dropped out of the race for his re-election.  He is citing the need to spend more time with his family.  This loosely translates to he knows that he does not have a prayer or there are pictures of him in flagrante delicto with an underage collie. 

By the looks on his wife’s face as he made the announcement kinda made me think that it might be the latter, she looked less than excited at having him underfoot.

The Dems are dropping like flies, and I do not think the blood-letting is anywhere near over yet.  Oh, to be a fly on the wall in the Oval Office these days….

Lastly, it is President’s Day and time to, well, take the day off.  (Except me, I am still in the bunker.  At least the traffic was not so bad today.)  I am sure that some 99% of us will think of Washington, Lincoln, Jackson, Grant as well as Hamilton and Franklin.  No, we will not be thinking of presidents per se but how many of them and other notables of the early days of our Nation can we save at all the sales going on.

But, it would not be a FISH if I did not take something out of the ordinary and make something of it.

We all have our favorite president or presidents.  I would suppose that other than Washington and Lincoln we think of those who served during our lives.

I would like to make mention of one of the best, one who were he to be alive today, and other than being 215 years old (where DOES the time go!), would be one of us.

Without going into too much detail, and I encourage you to read up on him, here are a few highlights.

He said that he serve but one term, the first president to term limit himself.  And he did not stand for re-election.

He spent his hours after “work” in the White House speaking to all the citizens who wanted to have a word with him.

He was the proponent of Manifest Destiny whereby he thought the United States should go from ocean to ocean and from Canadania to Mexico.  He was going to battle the UK for the Pacific NW but later reassessed and struck a deal where it was split. He did go to war against Mexico where we wound up with much of the land in the Southwest that is now part of our Great Country.

He lowered the tariffs on imports establishing basically an era of Free Trade that lasted until the Civil War and established a treasury that ran just fine until the Federal Reserve Bank came to town.

His administration saw the founding of the US Naval Academy, the Smithsonian Institution, the first US Postage Stamps and the groundbreaking of the Washington Monument.

Yeah, there are a few things that were not so good about him, he did inherit slaves from his father and on the one hand did not want slavery in the lands won in the Mexican-American war but then did nothing to prohibit          it there.  Kind of like the modern politician who “is personally opposed to abortion but supports a woman’s right to this but hopes it becomes a ‘safe (for whom?) and rare’ occurrence.”  Then takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from NARAL and Emily’s List.  (PS: There is no “Emily”
 who runs this list.)

Anywho, he is or should be regarded as one of the better presidents based on his accomplishments, though I am repulsed by his feeling towards slavery.  But as a president, he did, overall, a very good job, the type of job we have not seen since Reagan and very few times in between.   

Reagan? Now HE was a president.

I can almost hear him say “well, there you go again!” every time Hank opens his pie hole.

If you have a minute, (and c’mon, most of you are either off or retired!) take an hour or two and check out some of the presidents, I am sure you will be surprised at what you learn!

This IS OUR Country, after all, we should know something about those who led us!

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

First of all, apologies to the Sesame Street fans.  I did not mean to besmirch Beeker by comparing this fictional character to the person of no character who fictionalizes, Spokesweasel Gibbs. 

But those of you who seized on the greater point of the NC Dept of Ed considering starting US History in 1877 was met with more disgust, disbelief and dare I say, anger.

And that is a microcosm of this Misadministration. 

I am relatively sure that the NC Dept of Ed has little interest in starting our history some 133 years ago but they are allowing themselves to be played by others. Yet, if this effort is successful it sets the stage for other states to follow in their Tar Heeled footsteps.

Ought NC allow this travesty to occur, others will follow suit until that which We the People have learned at school will be summarily removed from our collective knowledge.  I mean, you know about the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and I KNOW that my friends on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line know about the Civil War.

Or, perhaps is this part of what Czar Sunstein meant when this waste of DNA said that by “2020 the Constitution will be a thing of the past”?

Look, all too many of us have served our Country and far too many have died so that we can have the freedoms that we enjoy. As ours is a fair and equitable Country, it is not just We the People who have these rights but also those who are content to use those rights against us.

And this is not even talking about those Islamoterrorists who have and wish to kill us have bequeathed upon them by this Misadministration the same rights as we citizens!

In listening to Hank, and in between involuntary pyloric reactions to that which he lies, I have come to the firm conclusion that we must do all that is necessary to stop the invasion on our rights, on our freedoms and on our Country by those who wish us harm.

And in my humble opinion this attack comes from within.

Some say that Hank has our good intentions in mind, that he cares for us. 

Pelosi!

He can say what he wants and you and I know that they are lies dripping from his TelePrompTer reading lips.  He appears to be genetically incapable of telling the truth and I do not need anyone telling me to give him a chance, to cut him some slack, to wait and see. 

I gave him chance, I cut him some slack and I waited and saw.

And this strawman came up wanting.

I do not care if you are Christian or Jew, believer or not, but unless you are totally detached from reality you should admit that much, if not most or all, of that  which is in the Bible or the Scriptures has some merit.   Now, re-read the above quote and tell me if that comports with that with you adhere.  Those are the word of Hanks hero, his mentor, his Muse: Saul Alinski.

Now, I dare you to tell me that we are on the "right track."

If so, kindly do me the small favor advising me of why you think why you think as you do, I am big enough to admit I can be wrong. But, if you attempt to do so and do not have verifiable proof and mock that which this Country represents, what We the People stand for and assign blame where blame is not merited, I promise you I will publicly eviscerate you in these pages.

Oh, John!  You are angry!

Dang Skippy I am angry. Throw in a side order of mad while you are at it and a tall glass of insulted.

Do not feel complacent about the wins in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts (wwwhhhhiiiirrrrrr).   Do not take solace in Hank’s disapproval ratings and those of Congress.  Do not think that the Tea Party and others will do the heavy lifting to take back our Country.  We are the “others” to other people!`

I can all but assure you that Rahmbo, Axelrod and the legions of others who wish to create a “worker’s paradise” for us are burning the midnight oil every day figgering out how to win in November.  And, ought they not prevail, what steps will they take to wrest our liberties and freedoms from us?

Perhaps I am Pollyannaish, as I have said before.  I look wistfully on the days when I was young.  Perhaps our parents and their parent did not like the ways things were going when they aged but I do not think that there has been the kind of assault on America as there is today back in their day.

FDR was a piker compared to the Comrade-in-Chief who is waging a blitzkrieg on the very fabric of our society on so many fronts.

Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are, the old saw goes.  We have looked at Hank’s friends and it is not pretty.  Petty thugs, anti-Constitutionalists, abortionists, eugenicists, Marxists and Communists, terrorists, racists and just some every day idjits. 

You know his friends, and now we know who he is.

We were bamboozled in 08 and we must employ all of our options to undo that which he has done and reverse those attacks. We must marshal all of our resources to retake the Land which we love.  We must not sink to their despicably low level in doing so lest we be the same as they and our victory be tainted.

By talking to your friends and relatives, by writing letters to the editors (even if they do not get printed), by supporting your officials who represent you and tell those who do not that you will do all in your power to fire them, by contributing cash and time to those candidates who are right thinking and similar efforts and doing them with vigor will ensure our victory in November.

You work or have earned a pension or social security.  Your sweat and time have been rewarded with money.  You use this money for your necessities: housing, food, clothing, utilities and transportation.  If there is anything left over you might treat yourself to a meal out, a new frock or suit, or something else.

Now, tell me, how much would you pay for your liberty and for your freedoms? 

Lemme tell you my friends, that bill is coming due this November. 

If we do not do all that we can to put the right people in the Senate, the House the Governor’s Mansions and local legislative body, and Hank gets a Dem Congress, you can kiss your rights, freedoms and derrieres adios.

He knows what he wants to do (or what his betters want him to do) and he figgered he would get his way easily enough.  At first he did and then We the People woke up.

Everything else has been met with opposition of varying degrees.  People are looking at his designs with skepticism and mistrust.  His poll numbers have reversed since he was inaugurated (from +30 positive to -17 negative as of this morning.)  The independents have all but abandoned him and even those in his own party have their doubts.  He is being stonewalled by a minority of the Congress and he is getting pissed. 

We are angry and mad and OLG says that he is angry and mad.

We the people do not care a whit if he is angry or mad or whatever.  As they say, improperly, “He brunged it on his own dang self.”

Hank & Co will do all that they can do to hold on to power as long as they can.  They will try to maneuver bills through Congress or use an activist judiciary to get their way.  We must be there to stop them, we must do all we can do to save our Country and the American Way of life.

That bill is coming due.  Are you ready to pay it?  This is one thing for which there is no bail out.

First off a big thanks to our pal Bob for writing a very informative, cogent and with a soupcon of humor, piece on money.  It was well received and I am glad so many of you enjoyed it. 

As mentioned, if any of you have something that you would like to share, by all means kindly do.  It must be topical, non-offensive (if it is offensive to Liberals, it is not offensive to We the People, so in that case go for it) and true. We are not the DCCC after all.

And thank you all for those who commented on my little buddy Midnight!  He is a handsome little bugger!  (Takes after his dad!) 

For what is worth, it has been a fairly slow week for stupid things coming out of this Misadministration.  Oh, there were some, but not as many as usual.  I guess Hank was on the phone with “The” Rev As $harpton as he was complaining about all the racist snowmen that have populated the East Coast.

Thank God for “Gore-bal” warming.  As a result of that, the east coast has been under snow for a week or so.   I measured 18” at my house y’day and that was not far from the average.  DC and the surrounding areas have been socked in with snow all week.  The Fed business is all but closed and the idjits in “Congress” canNOT screw things up.

Wellllll…….

Just because they canNOT legislate, that does not mean that they keep their pie-holes shut.  (One did, permanently, John Murtha Dem Congressman from PA.  He went to the great filibuster in the sky.  As I do not speak ill of the dead, that is all I have to say about him.)

Spokesweasel Robert Gibbs*  proving that he is a few tacos short of a combo platter poked fun at Sarah Palin.  Palin made a speech at the “Tea Party Convention” and in her haste wrote seven words (not the George Carlin “Seven Words”, that is) on her hand for reference.  (Look, I like her, she is the only reason I voted for McC, other than voting against Hank.  But, writing on your hand? C’mon now! Get as piece of paper for Pete’s sake. 

(Was that the smartest thing she has ever done? Nope!  Does it show that she is thinking?  You betcha!  But, and I am a fan, these are the kinds of things that someone who might run in 2012 would be better served by not doing.)

Gibbs, at one of the daily press briefings had written on his hand a “shopping list.”  “Eggs, Milk, Bread (crossed out), Hope and Change.”

Gee! Wow! That was funny.  What a Card! (Yes, he needs to be dealt with!)

What a tool.

(And WHY, where there is bad weather coming, do people buy bread, milk and eggs? What are they going to live on, French Toast!  Where is the meat! The Beer! Single Malt Scotches!  The stuff you really need in a blizzard!)

And it makes me wonder what is on Hank’s hand. “Blame Bush, Look at TelePrompTer, Lie,  Say ‘Make no mistake’, Blame Bush,” 

Well, to be fair, and I am nothing if not fair, it seems to me that Hank has weaned himself off blaming Bush.  You see, in at least one peroration of pejorative prevarications referred to the “problems caused in the past decade administrations.”

Yes, it was not Bush’s fault but those of the other administrations.  (Or, it is “administration’s” or “administrations’) In any event, it is good to see that it is not Bush’s fault.

One can only hope that after 2012 whoever the Republican President may be that he or she will take the same high road by not blaming Hank but assigning guilt to the “recent president from Chicago” or “the last Marxist president “ or, “the only president who had a better tan than George Hamilton.”  You get the idea.

Speaking of presidents, today is Lincoln’s Birthday, or, as it is known in most of the Country as “Friday.”

There was a time that both Honest Abe and Geo. Washington had their birthdays celebrated separately.  But with the introduction of MLK b’day as a holiday, they combined both Abe’s and George’s b’day into Presidents Day.

Now, you know who they are, right?  Indeed!  But if you are a student in North Carolina (go Heels!)(and I hate it that Dook beat them the other day, grrr…..), and if the NC Dept of Public Education has its way, you may not learn about them in the future.

In their infinite wisdom, the schools in NC have come to the conclusion that “in order to put more emphasis on recent history,” for all intents and purposes US History will begin in 1877, with the presidency of one of the top 44 Presidents, Rutherford B. Hayes.

No reason to study Columbus, the Pilgrims, Jamestown, the exploration of the Country, the Revolutionary War, Lewis and Clark, the Founding Fathers and the Declaration of Independence (let alone the House of Burgesses, the Articles of Confederation, the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence {oddly enough} and more), the Civil War and the other almost four-hundred years of American History.

These geniuses see all the rest of the rich tapestry that was woven to create the cloth that is now America is, you know, too much to learn.  Let’s keep it simple for the kiddies.

Tell ya what, I would rather you DO teach it and perhaps some of it will penetrate their little brains of mush, and why not just give them all an A, or an F, I do not care, but teach It for goodness sakes!

Or, do the teachers (and I do not wish to offend any of the teachers who read this as I know there are a fair number of you out there), or, more accurately, the teachers unions wish not to have taught things like, the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Supreme Court and so forth.

What is next? Burning the books that have those lies in them! After all, if it is not taught, it did not happen, right?  And who do we thank for this?  Do you really think it is the NC Dept of Public Ed?  I am not sure, but with a Sec Ed like Arne Duncan  who is a friend of Hank and ran a failed school system in Chicago (one that Hank’s kids DID NOT attend) and the tens of millions of dollars “donated” by the UFT, NEA and other left-leaning “educational” organizations, whence do YOU think this idea came?

And you know that if this comes to fruition and history does start in 1877 that some liberal “educator” will “suggest” that there be a class on how Columbus and the other early explorers came to the New World and spread disease, killed the natives and stole their land. Of course there will be no discussion of all the good that the Europeans did, no, that would not square with their goals!

And while the Civil War might not be taught in schools you can bet your bottom dollar that there would be a course on Slavery. And that is one of the most tragic things that has ever happened in our or any Nation.  I am NOT making light of it but those who with “to make a point” will skew the facts, prolly name “Captain Jebediah Bush” as the first whitey to bring slaves to the New World and conveniently leave out the fact that the Democrat Party was for Slavery (which I guess they called it “pro-Choice” in those days) and the Republican Party was formed to END slavery.  I mean, that is too much to study, eh?

So, keep an eye out for the changes in the curricula in your area, even if you so not have kids in school.  As I have said before the schools to their credit are keeping up with the times in many areas with respect to technology and the like.   But even ten years ago that which was in a student’s history book was orders of magnitude less than that which was taught in the 70’s and before.  So, that was the first step, now they want to rid us of history prior to 1877.   How is that hope and change going for you?   

Lastly I have received a few emails of interest in the past few days.  One is from my pal, the Major, who in addition to owning a fine specimen of man’s best friend, is not afraid of a “cold barley soup” has a rather acerbic sense of humor and is keen on employing that in his letters to the liberal editors. My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

I was taking the boy out on Saturday to pick out some b'day presents for him.  As we were driving to Petco (where the pets go), he looked at me and said "Dad, tell me about the Freedom of the Press."

Well, as he is going to be three years old on Wednesday, I thought that was a rather astute question, provocative and one worthy of a FISH.  When we were in the chew toy aisle and his eyes lit up at the sight of a hard black rubber ball on a thick cord, I realized that in dog years, the boy would be about 21 and therefore not quite that astute but certainly provocative and indeed worthy of a FISH.  (There is a pic of "Midnight the New Wonder Dog" is below. He is the worthy successor to "Rocket, the Wonder Dog", a fine example of an East North Carolina Slaw Hound.)

As you know, I write letters to the editor.  A lot.  Often. They do not care for me or my politics that much.  Yet, for some odd reason, the check that pays for the subscription is never returned on those grounds.  The FISH is an offshoot of my letters to the various editors.  And I have extolled you to exercise your freedom of speech to those who enjoy the freedom of the press. 

In any event, just to get the old BP going in the AM, I read the letters to the editor.  I used to be amused by their lack of knowledge, jejune affinity for things liberal and lack of grasp on how things affect us.

Then, Geo W was elected.  Or, not elected.  Or, stole the election.  Or, was not re-elected or re-defeated.  (Per the left.)  You get the picture.  The poorly written letters to the liberal editors were humorous for a while. 

Then it dawned on me, the letters to the liberal editor became nothing more than a vehicle for the liberal rag of a paper to print crap that that even the poor excuse for a paper could not find a place for in the main news.   But, since they bashed Bush or promoted the myriad of social and economic issues anathema to We the People, this was fine and dandy.  They were fine to let the dimbulbs continue to write letters that comported with their asinine viewpoints.

But, like most comedians, particularly the late night TV genus (NOT genius), went from bashing Clinton to bashing Bush and to a lesser degree bashing Hank, this did not happen in the papers.  (For some reason, Letterman must have been out of the loop when Hank was allegedly elected as he still bashes Bush for everything.  Perhaps due to his bashing his staff and interns, sub rosa.)  (And lemme tell ya, it was tough.  Hank liked the Saints, Letterman liked the Colts.  I almost watched a documentary on lint on the History Channel to avoid being in either of these anti-Americans camp.)

Ooopps? Did I say that?

Oh, well!

No, my friends, comedians aside the LSM is still in orgasmic ecstasy over Hank, for some reason.  And it has gotten even worse than before.  EVERYTHING is still Bush’s fault, it will always been Bush’s fault and it will always be Bush’s fault, until Hank is out of/removed from office.

It is “1984” all over again!  “We have always been at war with Eastasia.”  “It has always been Bush’s fault.”

Now, with the AP giving their “reporters” “leeway” to add “opinion” to their “reporting”  it is now far easier for MoreOn.Com, the DNC and any of the garden variety of Marxists in Hank’s’ real and shadow cabinets to get their talking points into print and over the air.

And the silly, soft heads of mush who are so busy suckling at the gov’t teat (READ:  your tax dollars) are more than happy to parrot back the same pelosi n their gen’ly poorly “crafted” letters to the liberal editors.

In fact I have been advised by more than one observant reader that the letters in their local bird-cage liners ARE actually verbatim talking points from those organizations that are out to destroy our Country.

When a good American Citizen (howyadoin’) writes a letter to the editor, and again, and again without success, and finally includes the name of the publisher and a friendly name on the staff when he sends in his letters and is met with silence, I start to think.  (And it is not sour grapes.  An addled vole would not write something as insulting to the intelligence of we with thumbs as these primate’s print.  (Bitter? No! Pissed that the Sheeple are being lied to.)

Then I remembered something from physics, which goes something like “that which is not forbidden by the laws of physics MUST happen.”

It is the same with our Rights. 

You see the Founding Fathers lived in a time when the Crown controlled the media, such as it was.  Dissent or criticism of the King was met with harshly.  Therefore the FF’s (James Madison, if you must) were clever enough to put in the Constitution, in the Bill of Rights a Freedom of Press.

This was done to prevent the gov’t from exercising undue influence on the “media” or censorship or anything else that would stifle the free flow f information from the powers that be to the peons that pay. 

But the crux of the biscuit was that only the TRUTH was to be reported. And to prevent the opposite from happening libel and slander laws were enacted.

Even with all those safeguards in place the FF’s could not imaging the machinations of this Misadministration subverting them for their own benefit.  And with that either the overt or tacit complicity of the LSM.

Applying the laws of particle physics to today’s media would demand that not only would only the truth be reported but that which was not would not be. 

Yes, Hank has defied the laws of nature.

Take a look at your local paper.   Most printed in any medium or larger sized burg are of a liberal bent.  Attendant to that is the carrying of water of this Misadministration by the same.  Meaning that other than the local police blotter, names of those whom you personally know, crop reports and so forth ought to be treated with suspicion.  Particularly those “reporting” anything with the word “Obama” in it.

(For your edification, below ** is a letter I wrote on Sunday to NEWSDAY.  Feel free to check their website for the letters to which I refer.  But the cleverer of you, whom I estimate at 100%, will divine the original letters content without reference.  But, by all means, please do.)

We the People are starting to wake up and come to Jesus.  The LSM is having some small difficulty ignoring us.  Hanks numbers are in the pelosi receptacle.  And soon, we shall take back our Country. And with that the hope that we can stave off that which Hank plans to do to us and undo that which he has.

What I encourage you to do, is to read your local paper and look for the obvious lies.  Write letters to the editors, every day if you have to, to call them on the carpet.  Tell them that you will not cancel your subscription, should you have one, so as to be their conscience. 

We have rights, we have freedoms and we have the duty to protect them from those who would see fit to take them away from us.

I canNOT encourage you enough to do this.  Imagine one day picking up the paper and it was 100% pelosi?  100% of what our Beloved Leader is doing “for” us?  100% of the talking points of those who detest us?  (I refer you to the recent FISH that exposed the czars, et al.)

Imagine if you took a few minutes each day to keep them honest.  Imagine if you took a few minutes each day to write a letter to the liberal editors? Imagine if all of your friends and family did the same? It is easy of you try!

Now, make it  so.

For one day, you may not be able to.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

I try to answer all of my emails as you know.  Some of you have become internet friends and in some cases advisors and critics.   I am but a mere and humble man and as much as I would like to know everything about everything, it is impossible. I do the best I can with the tools I have and I pray (literally) that I get the right message across.

As mentioned I am in regular contact with some of you and I have found you to be a tremendous resource for information.  There are people from all walks of life from most of the top 24 time zones out there and I get info that is not readily accessible but through your largesse and kindness.

Recently I wrote about money and that which is going on in Europe.  A good friend, we shall call him “Bob”, largely due to the fact that that is his name, wrote to me and we went back and forth on a few issues.  Bob is far more expert in this matter than am I and I suggested that if he wanted to write something on this topic and it was not objectionable that I would include it in a FISH, or in this case as the FISH.

Bob sent the following to me this morning and I think it is spot on.  He details his bona fides so you know that he is for real and his take on it is great. It is included here without editing, just as Bob sent it. 

In the interest of anonymity, if you have any questions for Bob, kindly send them to me and I will forward them to Bob with your e-mail addy and if there is any dialogue to be had after that, that will be between the “botha youse” as we say in Brooklyn.

(And if there is anyone else who would like to submit something that is topical by all means, please do.  If appropriate I will print it here as well.  You will glean from Bob’s writing that he not only knows his stuff but has a keen sense of humor as illustrated in a few instances below.  This does not mean that I will write any fewer, or shorter (sorry), FISH, but it gives me an opportunity to allow someone this amazing forum with which I am blessed to have.)

Some back and forth between Jack and I, after a recent FISH, led Jack to ask me for an article on money, specifically, fiat money.

Since I do have some knowledge, and a point of view to express, I decided to respond to Jack’s request. 

Ok, some back-up on that claim to knowledge is appropriate.  If you don’t care or don’t want to know, skip two paragraphs.

My first exposure to academic economics was my first year at the Naval Academy.  When I attended Navy Tech, all Midshipmen took the same engineering curriculum, our single elective was a choice of foreign languages.  However, due to my performance in H S and on the entrance exam, I was placed in an advanced course studying economics.  The course was taught by a Keynesian econ PhD who was a pompous twit.  (All Keynesian PhD’s are pompous twits, but not all pompous twits are Keynesian PhD’s, some are Congressmen.) I asked so many challenging questions that I was pulled aside and told to shut up.  Even then, I could sense, even if I imperfectly expressed, the illogic in Keynes’ ideas.  (At the time, I knew about Republicans and Democrats, but I was vastly ignorant about the apparently endless schism between Progressives and Conservatives; as well as a host of other topics.) 

Fast forward a decade and I studied a great deal of economics while earning an MBA.  I encountered more Keynesian blowhards who only confirmed my contempt for the school (Keynes) and for much of what passes as academic economics today.  Being a nerdy type, I yet found the subject intriguing and continued with self-study after my formal schooling ended.  I have studied The Master, Adam Smith, I have actually read the Wealth of Nations – twice and I have read the Austrian school teachers and others:  Von Mises, Sennholtz, F.A. Hayek, Rothbard and Bastiat is a partial list.  And one fine American economist and banker, B M Anderson.  In addition, I have read extensively in economic history regarding the great episodes of currency inflation:  The American ‘20’s, Rome, China, Weimar Germany, France, England, Argentina, the US since 1913.  (By the way, The Master gave us the secret to prosperity:  production.  You make things and you sell them for a profit.  Think of the number of industries in this country that have been drastically pared down or driven away by various governmental mal-administrations and laws:  Shipbuilding, Ship registration, Ship repair.  Optics, electronics manufacturing, textiles and leatherwork, automotive{almost complete now, steel, most commodity mining, oil and coal.  We seem to be working hard to drive financing and business formation out of the country. )

I do not think monetary policy is the only thing.  But it is absolutely vital to maintain a sound currency.  Without it, all sorts of bad things happen.  Poor economic signals leading to malinvestment.  Wrong headed government policy and action.  The destruction of the middle class and its wealth.  The destruction, or at least the departure from accepted norms, of ethics, morality and behavior.  The impoverishment of the nation.

These are not the predictions of a hard money nut.  These are the known historical results of a government debasing its currency.  Sophists try to use different names for this action, trying to justify it or sugar coat it.  Some call it inflation, some call it money supply growth, some try to blame it on the fact that you acquired more experience and therefore, obtained a raise at work.  The simple fact is that all governments issuing fiat money are engaged in the crime of counterfeiting and all have destroyed, or are in the process of destroying, their own society.  All!

Every time in the history of the world, for some 2,000 years, every time there has been inflation, it has been done by a central government, it has been done for the intended, supposed benefit of the ruling class, and every time it has ended very badly for the citizens of that government.  Every time!  That is the simple, awful, absolute truth. 

We have, in the United States, fiat money.  It is backed by nothing and it is worth nothing.  When perception catches up with this reality, look out!  We are in for a very rocky ride. 

Some weaknesses I have seen in the Tea Party movement (which I ardently back):  I have not heard an express demand for a sound currency.  I have not heard a demand for the end of public schools.  There is no demand to abolish, by amendment to the US Constitution, the Federal Reserve or any equivalent and all legal tender laws.  In my opinion, neither humble nor uninformed, these basic retreats to the future are absolute musts.

At this point in time, there are discussions regarding the inflation - deflation possibilities. With fiat money, there can be ups and downs in actual purchasing power over short time periods. However, as any study of purchasing power of currencies show, fiat currencies always trend down. In fact, there is no fiat currency which has survived the test of time. Although some of us hope that the US dollar will be the first in history to maintain purchasing power over a significant period of time, the trend over the past century isn't encouraging.

And finally this - for a look ahead.  This is data from a third world country folks; ours, compiled by your Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis, MO.  The effects of this on our purchasing power have not been felt – yet.  Look at this and be very afraid.  I would not venture to guess the cost of a gallon of gas or a quart of milk by end of year but I fear that each is going to be very dear, if available at all.

 

I would appreciate receiving your comments, if constructive, and any data you might have that you think is pertinent.  I am not interested in your opinions on my ancestry, my mental health or your advice on performing improbable physiological activity.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

If you go to the end of Long Island and keep swimming you will come upon a land known collectively as Europe.  This collection of countries that have been invading each other and arguing with each other for many hundreds of years thought, some time ago, that it would be a neat idea to band together in some way.

Back in those days the idea of a New World Order was not on the radar and it was also an effort to rebuff communism, oddly enough.  There were some attempts at having some kind of cohesion and one of the first things done was free transit between member nations.  A passport was needed to go to non-EEC countries and vice verse.

As time went on there were some other changes, improvements and with the fall of the East, many more new member states. This is not to be a history lesson on the EU, as it is now called, but just setting the table.

The European Union was cobbled together by these states later on as less of a deterrent to communism but as a larger force to attain economic parity with the United States.  But while communism fell and capitalism was still going strong, there was this underlying desire for a one world gov’t by some of their leaders.

One of the things that was done to create a stronger union was the introduction of a single currency, the Euro, which most all of the popular countries adopted, a notable exception was England who presciently held on to the Pound.

Figgering that one currency would do more to strengthen the states, most of them embraced it without too much fuss. But like most plans that promoted this kind of global control, there were issues that were not thought through.  (Of course, we are talking about liberals/progressives/populists, they do not think things through.)

There was a problem, you see. And one that is paralleled in issues on this side of the pond.

Money is like stock.  And without going into gold or silver backed currency and without over simplifying the issue, today’s world currencies are fiat currencies and are more or less like a share of stock.  Each dollar, for instance, is worth what others think it is with respect to GDP, debt, etc. etc. So, if you create a lot of goods and services, have a debt that is under control, your currency is worth more than if not.

There are people who speculate in currency, seeing the relative value being in flux.  One might sell dollars for yen, or Bhatt for Euro or whatever but like stocks, the values of the currencies can be manipulated. 

Then in Europe, where the Mark was stronger than the Franc one day then not on the next,  there was a reason to ensure that your currency was strong relative to others to increase your buying power.  (But not so strong so as to impede trade as your goods and services you been less attractive to a weaker currency.)

With the Euro, the Franc, Mark, Lira and other currencies went by the wayside and that was that.  But now France, for instance, could not do anything to make their currency and by that their economy, more attractive to investors.

You see, take a slacker country, let’s call it “Elbonia”*** who came late to the party,  Let’s assume that the “Elbonian Slug”, their old unit of currency, was like the old Polish Zloty and was useless outside of their home country.  Now, the Euro is equal to, say, 1,000 “Slugs.”

Now, Elbonia’s main export is lint.  And they do not do a good job even making a waste product, they being a demand economy for so long.  So, they really have nothing to do with the economy of Europe as a whole, as they do not contribute.  But whatever Euro that they have is a hard currency and it has a value in contradistinction to the “Slug.”  And, their fortunes and treasury rise and fall on the value of the Euro.

In other words, the entire country is no better than a welfare state.

And now, as the highs of the 90s and 00s are waning and becoming a drain on some of the nations, some of those countries are getting ticked at the Elbonians.  Their fortunes are still better than before but my Irish cousins are sucking wind.

So, some of the more clever of the Europeans think that the time is right to scrap the Euro and go back to their old currencies. 

And this, is anathema to Hank.

Hank, being not only a NOW kind of guy seems himself, modestly, as their king of the world.  It would be far easier to leverage the Euro and one legislative body than the 27 individual countries and currencies.

Hank, et al, have suggested a North American currency based on the currency of Canada, Mexico and the US. 

Should the Euro go away, he will have a far harder case for the Amero.  ****.  And this will make him unhappy.

Coming soon will be the meeting of the EU.  Historically the president of the United States is invited to and attends this meeting and all do.  (Well, BJ Clinton missed the trip in 92 or 93 I think.)

But, with Hank’s desire to take over the entire joint and being the astute student of not studying history, the dissolution of the Euro and perhaps the EU will make his job that much tougher, thank God.

So, what does he (or as my friend the Major calls him “OLG.”) do?

It is announced that he will not attend.

Spokesweasel Gibbs (perhaps the worst liar in history) said that Hank was not going because he was not invited, he was invited but he was getting his nails done that day, his dog ate the invitation and…, hey!  Look! Over there!  A Bald Eagle!

No Hank is not going for three reasons, one I am making up.

First, the breakup of the EU puts a damper on his quest to take over the world.  Which I think is rather ambitious for someone who to my knowledge ever held a job in the private sector and has not run any enterprise even as under reaching as a lemonade stand.

Second, if he is there, he is one of some 28 or so “leaders.”   And despite being the alleged leader of the free world (actually, the “almost free world” and a FISH on that to come) he would be just another pretty face in the crowd.

However, his NOT attending will create more of a buzz than if he did.  And what little narcissist would not want that attention.

And third, and this is my snarky reason, he has run out of people to whom he had not bowed.

So, keep an eye on the EU meeting and always keep Hank high on your radar.  Depending on what comes out of the EU meeting may very well affect us all in myriad ways.

I am sure that at this very moment he is listening to “Tears for Fears” on his I-Pod.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

As you know, I am a huge sports fan. I enjoy almost every sport.  I have been a Yankee fan since The Mick and Yogi were in pinstripes.  I was a Giants Fan when Y.A. Tittle was still throwing passes and The Giff was the darling of the media.  This was before the other teams, such as the Mets, Jets, or any team ending in “-ets” came to town.

From NASCAR to golf to soccer (European football) to hockey to college hoops to bowling to cricket to most any other sport, if it is a contest, I am watching it.  (Not as big fan of the NBA, but that is whole ‘nother story.)

Here in NY, we have the Yanks, Giants and Rangers.  I understand that there are also some teams called the Mets, Jets and Islanders.  (For some reason those two trios seem to be representative of the choice of fans.  That is there are very few Yanks, Jets, Islanders fans, or other permutations thereof.)  But, I jest a little, the other teams are fine and if one of my teams is out of contention I will root for another New York team out of home team pride,

Now, when no New York teams are involved in a game then the choice is more difficult.  If there is any team from Boston playing, it is easy, I MUST root against them!  (And I happen to like Boston, it is a great town and I have had fun every time I went there,  But, at the risk of angravating some of you – and I am nothing if not honest -  I will root against any Boston team with the same vigor as I would for one of my faves.  Hey, “Got Rings?”)

The Big Dances will always capture my attention.  Be it the NCAA Final Four, the World Series, the Stanley Cup, the World Cup, EPL League Championship, the Triple Crown,  Daytona 500, Indy 500 etc, are dates marked on my calendar. 

But, nothing compares to the Super Bowl!

The Super Bowl is all of those plus the Holy Grail all rolled into one.  In the US, it is without a doubt the biggest, and most hyped, sporting event.  And sometimes it even lives up to the hype.

There are billions bet on the outcome of this game, from the myriad of bets available in Vegas, to the local bookies, to personal bets to the office pools, there is enough money exchanging hands to fund yet another bailout of some industry.

I do not have a natural team in this game.  My teams are out, my son’s and DILS’s team is out so I have to make a decision for whom to root.  (Other than the numbers in any pool in which I may be participating.)

Both the Colts and the Saints are excellent teams.  Both truly deserve to be in the main event, they are fairly evenly matched and even the point spread suggests a close, if not high-scoring game.

So, who do I root for?

On the one hand, there are the Colts with Payton Manning, arguably the best QB in the biz and brother of Eli of my beloved Giants, so, one vote for them.

On the other hand, there are the Saints from the Crescent City, a town which in a previous life on more than one occasion I have broken most of the more popular of the Ten Commandments and Seven Deadly Sins.  So, it has that going for it and that ties the voting.

Teams equal, affinity for either team essentially equal, so, where is the tie-breaker?

Well, the Colts have been there before but the Saints have not in their42-year life.  Again, there is experience on one hand and desire on the other. Dang it, that did not help!

Some are using both of those examples as why to root for one team or the other.  And therein is the crux if this particular biscuit.

I have thought about this long and hard and sadly, without anything solid and concrete to hang my betting hat, I have to go deeper to make my choice.  And as odd as it sounds and further proof that politics take up far too much of my time, I have made my choice.

In listening to my pals who know sports and those who do not, the one thing that seemed to pop up over and over again was that “the Saints have never been to the Super Bowl, they should win!”

Er, no.

The BETTER team should win.  Be it one or the other makes no difference (especially if my numbers hit), but not because they are due, that they deserve it after 42 years, because they have never won or for some other non-competitive reason.

I have decided to root for the Colts.  As I said the teams on balance are fairly equal, though Manning is the better quarterback and both teams have relatively porous defenses, it really is a coin flip.

With the over/under at 56 ½ points as of this morning, a 4 ½ point spread is not a lot.  So, all that given, allow me to reiterate why I will pull for the Colts:  Because people think the Saints should win because they ”deserve” it.

Our society, rather the liberal brains that do not like competitions, have made us see people as victims and that some are “entitled” to something that they did not earn, that there should be no “losers” in games and so forth.

Kids today play sports and in some cases they do not keep score.  The powers-that-be do not want to hurt the little darlings’ feelings, damage their psyches or anything else that will prepare them for life.

(Another Lombardi quote: “If it does not matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?”)

There is too much sense of entitlement and the list of things that the undeserving want and in all too many cases the gov’t gives them reads like the Democrat Party platform.

So, no, the Saints do not “deserve” to win.  Were they that good, they would have been there before and maybe would have won.  The Cowboys have been there 8 times wining five times and my Giants are 3-out-of-4.  But the Vikes and the Bills have been there 4 times each, and all 8 times collectively they have come in second.  The argument could be made for those teams that they do not belong in the Big Dance. 

In fact, only the 49ers’ have multiple appearances (5) and are batting 1000.  And there are 4 teams who have never reached for the brass ring and one of them, the Lions, has been around for 80 years.  (But, they did win the league championship, pre-Super Bowl, as recently as 1957.)

Therefore, putting politics in front of emotion, support, favoritism or even fact, I will root for the Colts for the only reason that some think that the Saints “deserve” to win.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

In the copy of the Constitution that I own, the powers and limitations of those in gov’t are detailed.  It is handy to have and even handier to know, should you wind up in gov’t one day.       

We have all kinds and sorts of laws, even at the Federal level.  The Constitution is the Law of the Land and that is the basis for any laws regarding the legal workings of the gov’t as well as the enumeration of the rights of We the People.

There are also other bodies of laws, such as the United States Code and virtually every piece of legislation that has seen the light of day.  No, you canNOT do anything without the law having some kind of effect on it in some way, shape or form.

Yet, that said, despite there being brazilians of pages of laws and legal findings, there is still some wiggle room.  One might think that after two-hundred plus years and literally millions of court rulings that pretty much things would be pretty much cut and dry, that there is nothing left to the imagination or interpretation. 

One might think that, but one would be so wrong.

KSM and his other swells felt like killing a few thousand of our fellow citizens.  He is getting three hots and a cot (as well as prayer rugs, Qur’ans and whatever else an adherent of the religion of peace requires to practice his faith) in the sunny climes of Gitmo. 

He is a terrorist, plain and simple.  I am not casting any aspersions, he admits it as well as admitting to his heinous crimes.  He is not a soldier.  He is not a citizen.  He is a terrorist and is officially an enemy combatant.

He is subject to certain rules and jurisdictions.

Before I go any further allow me to say that I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on television.  But I have spoken with some and I have done a fair bit of reading on this subject. This is not gospel but it is pretty darned close.  (And if there are any errors, please advise and I will correct same.)

Were he to be a citizen of the United States he would be subject to the laws and courts of the United States. Were he to be a soldier, he would be subject to the treatment under the Geneva Convention.  But he is neither, therefore those laws apply not to him.

But, this is where it gets dicey and to be totally candid, both sides of this argument can claim some kind of standing.

It is not a contest, one in which we are right and they are wrong.  From time to time bad laws are reversed as it makes good sense, and from time to time even good laws are modified to make them better.  (And, yes, from time to time good laws are changed for the worse to accommodate or protect a special interest and we have discussed that in the past and now doubt will revisit again.)

The Constitution is clear on where trials are to be held, they are to be held in the jurisdiction where the crime was committed and there are very few avenues for relief to change them.

In this regard the decision to hold the Islamoterrorists’ trial in New York  (or for that matter, DC, Shanksville or perhaps even Boston) could be considered a correct choice.          Then again, KSM et at are also charged with planning the attack and that most likely was done in Pakistan.   So, which trumps which?

Second to that is that these clowns (apologies to clowns as always) are not on US Soil, they were snatched up in a foreign country and are being held on a military base.  The argument that they can be tried by a military tribunal holds equal weight.  This was done before at the end of WWII in the Nuremberg Trials.

That is enough to set the table.

Let’s move on to reality.

First of all, KSM et al admitted to their crimes and are eager to get their 72 virgins. I am of the belief that in this case we ought to do all that we can to arrange that meeting without delay. And there is precedence for this.

But, for some inexplicable reason, alleged AG Holder does not want that to occur, or at least not just like that.  To me, it makes no sense and will cost far too many of our tax dollars to have a trial anywhere but in Gitmo.

Holder makes the outrageous claim that a trial ought to be held in NY so that we can show the world that we are good and fair people.  Even if that had a scintilla of truth or sincerity to it, screw the rest of the world, I am not the least bit concerned what the others think.  I am of the old school where I would rather my Country be feared than loved.  (Sadly, with this Misadministration, the Country is feared rather than loved but that is becoming more and more evident  by We the People.  Yes, I exaggerate and no one loves our Country more than do I, but I offer that to make a point.)  So, again, and excuse me for saying so, screw the rest of the world.

Holder said in support of “his” decision, that 1) the Islamoterrorists can get a fair trial in NY, 2) there is sufficient evidence to convict them, 3) he thinks that they will be convicted and 4) he will support the death penalty for them when/if they are convicted.

What a great guy, huh!  I am putting him back on my CHRISTmas card list!

Think about it, we have cold blooded killers, literally dead to rights and Holder wants to roll the dice to make a point?!?!

There is no point he wants to make other than to embarrass the United States for the way we captured, treated and interrogated these animals.  And, if they can get the World Court involved (my opinion of that august body is slightly less than the way I think we ought to be concerned with the world’s opinion of us) and have them prefer charges against the man who Hank seems to use as his whipping boy, well, that will be the bonus plan. Unless that is the only plan…

Concurrent with that, should they come to the US, undoubtedly they will need to be Mirandized.  This presents the possibility that anything admitted or gathered in Gitmo may not be allowed into evidence and also might cause the interrogation techniques questioned as well. 

More troubling than that is the fact that due to discovery, the defense attorneys will have access to whatever the State might have as evidence.  This could present a situation that either sensitive (read: Classified) intel will have to be made available or that we will not be able to enter it into evidence.  And I am sure that there are assets, resources, names, places and other information that we would rather that the beady eyes of these murderers be allowed to see.

But all that is moot when you look just a tad deeper into this.   As reported a while back, when Hank was winging his way to Hawaii, it was then that Holder announced that the trial would be moved to NY.  He claimed that it was his decision alone to make the move.  He did admit, if memory serves, that he did talk this over with his bride. Oh, yes, and his brother.  THEN he TOLD Hank what he was going to do.

I just re-re-re-checked my pocket Constitution and I do not see a listing of powers for the bride or brother of the AG, an OB/GYN who happens to be married to the AG or a retired PAPD cop who is the AG’s brother.

Nope, that soap don’t float.

Forget about seeking counsel from one’s spouse or sibling if you are the AG, even the AG DOES NOT HAVE THE CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to change the venue of this trial.  And do not think for a nanosecond that it was his idea.  He is a sock puppet for Hank.  Fortunately they suffer from the same ideology, so there is no conflict.

(And we all know that Holders “law firm” is an activist one and they actually represent some of the terrorists, though as far as we know, not any of the quartet in question here. But…..)

This might seem like just a spitting contest between the Right and the Left but there is more.

The attempt at CHRISTmas to blow up the plane heading for Detroit offers another glimpse into the machinations of the AG.

You see, Yabba Dabba Do was spirited off the plane and after some medical attention and dispatching some of his bits to the great beyond, he was “interviewed” for an astounding FIFTY MINUTES!  He got a little sleepy so they let him have a lie down.  Whilst visions if munitions and shrapnel filled sugar plums flowed through his head, the word came down from the AG’s office that he would need to be advised of his Miranda “rights.”

Well, while before being made aware of his “rights”, Yabba Dabba Do was kind enough to advise his interrogators that it was not just swarthy looking middle-Eastern fellas who were loaded for bear (or, more accurately, “eagle”) but some innocent looking wimmens, some perhaps even pregnant who are being outfitted with the bona fides needed to arrange a group field trip to meet Allah.

So, informed of this right to dummy-up, he did just that. When he was to be interviewed further, he exercised his right to tell the federales to go scratch.

You might be thinking that a good AG would never put thousands of NYer’s at risk by moving a trial that he had no Constitutional authority to do.  

And a good AG would never put the flying public at risk by essentially putting his fingers in his ears and humming loudly as some skell is laying out a plot to do just that.

No, a good AG would never put the lives, safety and freedoms of We the People at risk

But Holder would.

And he does.

And he needs to go as well!

Take a moment and ask your congressman and Senator exactly how they feel.   Do them the favor of telling them how YOU feel.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

I enjoy reading about various and sundry topics.  From politics to sports to cooking to math and so on, I can always find something to pique my interest.  While I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, I will, on occasion, peruse a medical journal or some recent breakthrough in medicine.  It was in one such periodical that I learned about a sad disease known as Narcissistic Fibrosis. 

Yes, NF afflicts very, very few of us so research is not gen’ly high in the pecking order of research money.  But this disease can affect us all if it is manifested in just a few, or even one.

NF is one of those diseases that when it has infected a patient it affects every cell in the body, to every fiber, to the marrow, nothing is left unaffected 

Take for instance the deleterious effects it has on the lips.  Victims are given to the throes of kissing their mirrors for hours on end. Chapped lips are the small result of this activity. But as one canNOT see forward as they are blocked from seeing further the effects are more devastating as one can only see behind them but are unable to do so as their eyes are fixed on their own reflection.

Would a sufferer at least take the moment to remove himself from his own gaze he could see those things behind him, like the past. But allowing oneself to ignore the past and that which is behind him causes him to act with caprice without availing himself to learning from other’s mistakes.

Like one afflicted with other diseases that cause unintended physical actions, a sufferer of NF is likely to have issues with control over one’s hands.  As a result of patting oneself on the back repeatedly, the arm becomes atrophied to certain other actions.  For instance an inability to sign anything that is anywhere near the center instead one can only sign things to the far left.

A swelling of the head is also another indication of this disease.  A sufferer will find that their head becomes so large due to the inflation of ego so as to crowd out any ability to accommodate common sense, acknowledgment that there are other ideas that might do well in their swelled cranium, recognition of other’s views, accepting that they might be wrong and inability to recognize the truth.

While a good pathology of this disease might suggest a treatment that is rich with subjecting the patient with opposing views, rational discourse and an immersion of the truth, the sad part is that most of those who are closest to the patient are like remoras.  They are parasites and in many cases suffer from a milder case of NF and rather than try to treat the patient they try to exorcise their illness by enhancing the affliction of the patient so that their malady seems lesser by comparison. 

The parasites that attach themselves to the host organism do so for their own survival.  They can only survive on the host as they have barely survived without one.   But once a host is amenable to being one all kinds of parasites will appear:  Marxist Horibilus, Terra Climatum Lunaticus, Energium Notforyouum, Homo Barneyfrankus and other disgusting creatures.

They will attach themselves to the host and as what little bit of integrity is left is devoured by the parasite.

But the head is only one part of the body above the shoulders that shows distress.  Other than the damage to the lips one will often suffer the ravaging effect of “I” problems.

The brain is so consumed by the effects of swelling and the deleterious effects of the parasites, the patient has major issues with communication.   A faltering speech pattern, an up-tick at the end of a sentence, pauses that suggest trying to come up with something believable to say but is unable to do so is only part of the problem.

The patient at this part of the prognosis is unable to discern with respect to pronouns and is subject to incessant iterations of the first person singular, “I.”

Some sufferers of this disease have been known to use that word over 120 times in sixty-nine minutes. The only thing that can jolt the patient out of this repetition of his favorite word is when faced with something unpleasant, such as the dreaded “truth”, which is like kryptonite to someone with NF.

As soon as one afflicted is confronted with the “truth”, “incontrovertible evidence”, “facts” and other things that cause great discomfort to someone with NF, he will immediately will employ other pronouns such as “him”, “his” and “their” as long as they are modifying words such as “fault”, “administration” and “damage to the economy.”

One might thing that is more than one poor person could handle but, yes, there is one more dastardly effect of this malady.

The largest organ of the body is also affected. Yes, the skin.

 But again the patient is adversely affected by the parasites and the patient  is patently unaware of the affliction to the skin.

Media Liberalus will only offer soft-balls to the sufferer so as not to do any damage.  On rare occasion some other organism, such as a Recto-Alate Americanus will attempt to assault the patient.  But the skin is so thick at this time to some attacks that it appears that the attack is repelled.  But that is not true. 

Clinical studies have shown that the attacks are dangerous to the patient and while the media liberalus surround the wound so that it does not look like any damage has been inflicted the patient can feel the effects as his skin is far thinner than most people’s and it hurts more.  He is given to lashing out at this point.

The swollen head causes the speech center to utter “lies” and the media liberalus will report this as “truth” but the patient knows better.  Despite the media liberalus making antibodies, known as “spin”, the victim knows that he has been attacked.  He will  lose the power of cognitive speech and lash out saying things like “Bush’s Fault” and “the Supreme Court got it wrong” and “you are doing a great job Janet” and other utterances that are would not be said by someone in their right mind.

So, if you see someone so afflicted try to take pity, offer a shoulder for comfort and suggest treatment.  At this point the only known cure is to remove the entire organism from gov’t via a surgical procedure that is available only thru Congress, but not for about one year.

There are some with whom you may know who suffer from this terrible affliction but just think of them as you NF Guy.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

With all that is going on, I sat down to write a deconstruction of some of the legal aspects of bringing the Islamoterrorists' trial to the Big Apple.  The Muse, apparently recalling a time at the Dead Sea some years ago, was apparently trying to relive the floating in that body of water by consuming as many salt-rimmed glasses of tequila as possible so as to attain buoyancy.

“You are missing the point”, she slurred.

“It is not the venue that is the most important issue?” I replied.

“No!”

“It is it the trial itself?”

“No!”

“Is it the health skare scheme?”

“No!”

“Cap and trade?”

“NO!”

“TARP, DOMA, AIG, Goldman-Sachs, Big-3, green energy…”

“No, No, No, No, No, NO!!!!!!!!”

While there were a good number of other issues that are of great concern I knew I was trying her patience.  As she typically has a different take on things than do mere mortals I asked her what her agave-fueled brain was thinking.

So, she told me.

She told me to think about it.  The Islamoterrorist trial has been big news over the past few days.  The powers that be are considering moving the trail away from NYC.  When I said that was a good thing, she just laughed. She said it was not WHERE the trial was going to be held but that they are having the trial at all on US Soil rather than in Gitmo.

As stated so many times before Hank & Co, are like magicians.  They are diverting our attention away from what the real deal is by making us look away from where the old switcheroo is happening.

I was reminded what one of the readers of this page said one time.  I mentioned it once here and demands it being stated again. 

Talking about designing a home, a particular company would always add a cupola.  Of course the cupola was never mentioned during the planning and designing stages.  When the plans were presented and the costs revealed, gen’ly the customer would complain about the cost.  The architect would say that in order to cut the costs they could take away the cupola.  This would usually be OK’d by the customer.  (I know I am over-simplifying this, but you get the idea.)

At the end of the day, the builder got his price and the customer got what he felt was a good deal after some shrewd negotiation.  But the truth was that the customer negotiated away something that he did not want or ask for in the first place and the builder got what he wanted.

It is the same thing with the trial.  Hank does not care if it is in NY, NJ, DC, Chicago, Tampa, Richmond or at a truck stop somewhere on I-80 in Wyoming.  He wants it on US Soil so that he can achieve his goal, that being to leverage the trial and testimony of terrorists so as to embarrass previous administrations and to make his move for even more grabbing of power. 

The mirror-kissing master of mendacity knows that if he can direct our attention to where the trial could be held he will be able to pull off his trick of having the trial on US Soil.  He is taking the unwanted cupola from the blueprints and got the price he wanted.

(And it makes no difference if the trial does wind up in Gitmo.  This is something else Hank floated to reduce our rights while attempting to give other rights to those who are not deserving of them.  Think about the urgency of passing health skare with al the components now, it is not that critical.  It was a grab of power.)

We are re-arranging the chairs on the Titanic as that ship is sinking.  Yet, that is both an accurate analogy and leads to another.

In order to get a better look at what kind of advice this president is getting, one needs to look at who is advising him.  I have talked about the czars and the cabinet secretaries at length in the past.  I think it is time to see the entire list with annotations as to their views.

It is long, it is extensive, it is comprehensive and it is scary.  I know some of you will read the entire text but for those of you who will not, at least look at some of the characters.  Look at Emanuel, Holdren, Ogden, Holder, Solis, Jennings, Sunstein, Chu, and Dunn for openers.

If you look at this group and say, “They look fine to me!” well, I would be shocked.  If you look at this list and say “Oh My God!  Where did he find these people!” well, then, you are smarter than the average bear.

Now, look at what Hank has done so far, look at what is trying right now.  Look at the SOTU through the prism of the ideology of this assembled list of Ultra-Lefty’s, then tell me everything is going to be OK.

People marveled at the Titanic.  It was, at the time, the height of technology, the greatest thing ever created by man.  Yet, it was dispatched to the bottom of the Atlantic by something that was not man-made, an Iceberg that was just sitting there.

Now, one can make the supposition that God made the iceberg as it is a part of nature.   And in the battle of good and evil, it seems that God always wins.  I am not trying to be preachy but when you think of it all of the designs of man fall short at the end of the day.

Obama is today’s Titanic.  He is man-made, he is a creation of the political technology.  He is steaming blindly on the seas of Marxism.  We, my brothers and sisters, can be his iceberg.  We have the power to sink his agenda and plans against We the People.

Read or at least scan that link.  At the end, you will either be on the Titanic or be part of the iceberg.

The choice is yours.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

We joked y’day about what Hank might say in his SOTU speech.  Many of you made comments about the BINGO card and the like.  While I expected the worst, I severely underestimated the assault on my ears, eyes, sensibilities, intelligence and respect for his office.

In the interest of time rather than list the issues and topics that excluded facts, were reasonably accurate, did not obfuscate, did not mislead, did not exclude the rest of the story and did not fly in the face of common sense , here is a list of the topics about which the M-I-C spoke which did not:

HAITI.

Now that we got that out of the way, I think it is a fair allegation that each and every other topic and issue was either delivered in a way that made his case at the expense of not offering conflicting information, was a lie, took us for fools or all of the above.

At first, I thought that was Nasty Pelosi sitting on the right of the screen and she was either the victim of a practical joke involving her chair or she was wearing spring-loaded underwear.

Then I looked to the left (which is easy to do with this crowd) and noticed that where the Vice President usually sat was Jeff Dunham’s dummy “Walter.”** It was then I realized that was a San Fran Nan marionette under the control of puppeteer suffering from St. Vitas Dance.  But, her gyrations, bouncing up and down were in perfect syncopation with Hank’s faltering and annoying speech pattern.

I was at a meeting last night and I asked that it could end at 9.00PM in order to watch the festivities.  We ended a few minutes late but Hank was on his own time and appeared a few minutes late as well.

(SIDEBAR:  PET PEEVE:  I am one of those people who are always on time, usually early.  When I run a meeting, it starts on time.  I am of the belief that time is valuable and if you have agreed to meet me at a certain time, I respect that and will not make you wait, your time is valuable.  This also means, do not keep me waiting.)

So, the meeting adjourned and there was about thirty or so of us, in tuxedos no less, watching the speech.  Fortunately the liquid libation was flowing otherwise it may have gotten ugly.

Your cheerleader was standing in front of the tube and tried to maintain some composure.  Then the calls came from some of the others.  Then more.  Then I do not think of the assembled crowd that there were more than one or two who disagreed with the group and they had the common sense to remain quiet.

Someone put a handwritten sign that read simply “LIES” under the set and that seemed to be the consensus of opinion.  People were getting agitated and after thirty minutes or so a few guys left.  There were a few knots of people having the same conversation and none of those were agreeing with Hank.

No, it was not pretty.

I think my BP was something like 200/200 and it is still up there. So, if your computer monitor is bopping like Nasty Pelosi it is the energy of my body coming through my fingers though the ether.

I will not go through the entire speech but touch on but a few of his lies.  Hank made the bald-faced lie that some 2,000,000 jobs had been created since the stim package.  Everyone clapped.  Now, in case you think I am being unfair with my previous statements, answer me this:  If he created all those jobs, why is the unemployment rate nearing double what it was when he assumed office?

At one point he said: “Now, yesterday, the Senate blocked a bill that would have created this commission. So I'll issue an executive order that will allow us to go forward, because I refuse to pass this problem on to another generation of Americans.”

Now, look at that carefully. The Senate did something he did not like and he is going to issue an EXECUTIVE ORDER to countermand the action of the Senate. Now, I am one of those people who have a deep love and respect for our Constitution.  I do not pretend to be a Constitutional Scholar (as do some people) but I do understand how a bill becomes a law, that there are three branches of gov’t and that there are checks and balance between them.

Until the Constitution was ripped up in front of our eyes last night, the checks and balances worked out pretty well.  But, I reckon, since nearly two out of three of We the People do not want the health skare scheme but Congress keeps plodding on with it (they, too, largely ignorant of the Law of the Land) rather that doing what they are supposed to so, REPRESENT US!

Hank took pot shots at the SCOTUS, again disagreeing with the checks and balances thing.  As I have written about for ages, McC-Feingold was an attack on the 1^st Amendment abridging speech.  SCOTUS got it right and basically overturned it as well as other aspects of campaign finance. 

In taking pot shots at the ruling, he was kind enough, as I recall (and I am loathe to revisit the lost 69 minutes of my life again), to look towards the Reps.  Nice!  As if that was not enough, Hank made the asinine assertion that SCOTUS’s action will allow unfettered political donations to any political candidate.

Why is he worrying? There are more Dems than there are Reps, by the numbers, they would get more money, no?

No! This is largely due to the funneling of cash more sympathetic (mean in debt to) the Dems that is outside of the scope of McC-Feingold et al.  The unions, left-wing special interests and others are making huge contributions to the Dems. Think about it, Hank raised ONE BILLION DOLLARS for his campaign, McC took public financing.  You do the math.

But he actually had the balls to say that “foreign interests and our enemies” will be able to donate to political campaigns.  Our Enemies!  How dare he!  Yet, the pelosi infected Dems were hopping up and down like the ideologically blinded jackasses they are!  (Warned you,) 

But the icing on the cake was Justice Alito shaking his head and if I can read lips it looked like he said “not true.”  Where was Rep. Joe Wilson when we needed him!

In the interest of placating the gays, Hank again promised an end to “don’t ask, don’t tell.”  This caused the JCS to shake their collective heads.

And as I am nothing but fair, I have to give a kudo to Snuffaluffagus and Diane Sawyer commenting on the travesty masquerading as a speech.  Even they pointed out the shaking of the heads of the good Justice and the JCS.  Why? I do not know, but my guess is that had my pyloric valve not been approaching the red zone, I would have been treated to an apologia for Hank’s remarks to cause the cranial wavering.

Speaking of the military, Hank paid lip service to Afghanistan and the great work he is doing there.  Then made the positively revolting and dangerous statement that our job in Iraq is done and the troops will be home (or redeployed) by August.

Lemme tell ya, if I had an al-Qu’eda membership card, I would be rather busy for the next seven months laying low and stocking up on IEDs and other party favors.  I so hope I am wrong but it does not look good.

I have referred to Nam many times and in particularly Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap.  He as much said that once Henry the K made the deadline for pulling out, all he has to do was to sit back and wait.  And we know what happened after that.  The image of the last chopper lifting off from the US Embassy in Saigon is forever burned into my memory.  And we know what happened after that.  “Those who do not study history…”

And as Hank is uttering, I mean, reading, those words the assembled Dems are cheering what will be in all probability the genesis of a larger problem.  I am not of the mindset that we ought remain in Iraq, or anywhere for that matter, but I am of the mind that we need to stay there until the place is secure and stable.  From what I hear from those I know in that part of the world, Iraq is neither. And these cowards are cheering our premature departure.

It is a tad scary when I watch these kinds of things and I can pick out far too many of the faces and know their party, their positions and, really, way too much information than an average citizen should need to know.  But, there are so many reptiles in Congress and the Cabinet, not to know the players is done at one’s peril.

Kiki Jellobrand stood out like a sore thumb in the midst of the Dems, Charles Rangel looked like one of James Brown’s roadies, and the smarmiest of the smarmy, Chuckie Schemer was Nasty Pelosi’s male counterpart in jumping up and down.  (Speaking of jumping, it looked like Dingy Harry needed a jump start to wake up.  He must know his days are numbered.) 

Schemer was in the first row, from what I could tell, past the dignitaries.  I am sure that Justices are still trying to get the slobber off their robes as every time that embarrassment Schemer stood up and clapped wildly like some kind of demented crack head, he seemed to lose moisture.  This Golf Papa Sierra actually leaned forward and clapped AT the Justices when Hank was ripping up the Constitution when he was excoriating the SCOTUS for trying to level the playing field.

But Schemer was not the only one that looked like an extra from a Fellini film.  A few times they panned on to Timmy Geithner, the alleged Sec Treas.  He looked like he had just been to “1 PP” for a personal booking.  And one can hope that day will come for real soon. 

For the love of Pete, the Geek Chorus of thieves, varlets and ne’er-do-wells of the Dem Party who created 90% of the mess that we are in should have been emboldened by Hank’s prattling parade of prevarications.  Had they all stood up and said “We did it! It is all our fault the Country is going to hell in a hand basket”, Hank would have given one of his fecal-consuming grins, while San Fran Nan bounced up and down like a fat kid on a pogo stick and the Dems clapped their approval.

And, we know that Hank was in full campaign mode as he was repeating his lies he offered a year-plus ago. Virtually every lie he told on the campaign trail was trotted out again and was added to by an additional stack of pelosi.  For some reason, if memory serves as the camera panned either on or off Timmy Geithner, he mentioned lobbyists and the lack there of in his immediate circle.

Gov. Bob McDonnell of Virginia presented the Rep response.  His words were well crafted and well delivered.  He maintained a level of decorum that would be fine idea for the Dems to emulate.  He made his points without assessing blame, ducking facts and offering solutions that did not require hip waders to get through the pelosi of the opening act.

The sad thing is that the same cast of characters who fell for his bravo sierra the first time out apparently have not learned their lesson or anything else in the past year or so.  The media are spinning this as if it was a campaign speech, which it was.  And when his promises and plans fall flat, no one will say a word.

Thank God there are people like you, We the People, who know better, who have taken the time to read, learn and become better educated consumers of politics.  It is you who will take back our Country this November, for not to do so will be the death knell for the American Way as we know it, the Representative Republic we now enjoy and our Freedoms and Rights.

I am not the least bit sorry for what I have written.  I was shocked and appalled by Hank’s wholesale disregard for the truth, ignorance of the Constitution, rudeness to the Court (and anyone else who deigned disagree with him) and the bile and vitriol in his words and presentation.   

I now understand, if only a little, how M’Obama felt when she uttered the most preposterous words ever spoken by a candidate’s spouse.  You see, for the first time in my adult life, I am really not proud of a president.  (And after Carter and Clinton, that is a statement.)

If there is any silver lining Hank’s approval after the speech went DOWN two points.  Maybe someone else is listening.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

I told you to give the points on Sunday. 

Yup, that is what I said, take the points, in fact, to remind you here is the exact verbiage cut and pasted from the FISH of Saturday. “PS: As always, I appreciate and welcome your thoughts, ideas, comments, criticisms and TAKE THE POINTS ON SUNDAY!”

If you listened to me and GAVE the points as I said, you would have won both games and with hope a tidy profit.

By now, you are asking yourself: “Huh, GIVE the points, John (or, “Precious” as he calls himself when he is alone) said to TAKE the points, in fact he even clipped where it says to GIVE the points, and he has the nerve to say we should GIVE the points?  What’s up with that?”

Well, my friends, I did say to take the points and sadly both of the teams for which I was pulling fell short and so did the possibility of wining the pool.  (And with that poor Midnights’ tuition for the next Canine College Course.)

But, as hard as I tried to make it sound convincing that I said one thing but really meant something else, it did not work, I was not convincing.  You see, I am a very poor liar.  In fact, I am such a poor liar that at times I will say something that will offend or hurt someone’s feelings.  I do not mean that, I was just being honest.

That said, I was watching the train wreck known as David Axelrod on one of the Sunday news shows. He does not have the same affliction as do I.  He is less of a liar then he is psychopathic about not telling the truth.

For the life of me, I do not know how someone can look someone in the eyes and flat out lie.  And this guy does it national TV.  With ease.  Like he believes his own lines of pelosi, which I am sure he does.

He was on “This Week” with Democratic operative George Snuffaluffagus.  Talking about various things as Georgie offered up softballs, Axelrod went on and on about things that concern us all and he was unwilling to tell us anything concrete about them.  Mostly he gave us a heads-up what Hank will talk about in his “State of the Union” address on Wednesday.

He spoke little on health skare and more about jobs.  Had the “Gang That Could Not Govern Straight” read the FISH months ago, they might have been quicker to the party.  It was written that if people had jobs, they could get health care.  If the gov’t spent just some of the money on jobs, there would be some. And with that an increased tax base, etc, etc,

But, let’s recap, shall we?

Way back in the early days of this Misadministration, Hank said that they had to have the bank bailouts, TARP funds and more.  Never mind that it was due to the malfeasance of some of the Dem leaders who caused the problems. (And to be fair, not all the players were Dems, there were some Reps.  It is just that the Dems are more adept at subterfuge.)  The Fanny and Freddie bailouts were more of the same and the same cast of characters was involved again.  (We will leave out for now the incestuous relationship between the Fed, Goldman-Sachs and a variety of high placed gov’t officials, up to the Cabinet level.)

Then there were the Big 3 auto bailouts, the companies that were too big to fail, but fail one did. But that did not come so fast, at least as fast as previous attempts.         

Maybe next or out of order, came the stimulus package (if I am getting these out of order, please advise. It is getting harder and harder to keep these things in order as there are so many of them!)  This was the one that HAD to be passed NOW otherwise the unemployment rate, then at about 6.5% would skyrocket to 8%!  (And it is, what 10% and holding for the past few months.)

I reckon that it was then that We the People started to wise up.  Loyal FISH readers were ahead of the curve on this.

Then, with all the foreplay done, he was going for the kill.  Health Skare.  Or, Health Insurance Reform.  Or Health Options.  Or, makes little difference, same pig different lipstick.  And this ABSOLUTLEY had to be done RIGHT AWAY. Then it was before Memorial Day. Then the 4^th of July.  Running out of holidays for which he has no use the deadline was before the summer recess as the drop dead date.

It was banged about in the House, more pages than a stack of Bibles with none of the good, a bill was cobbled.  And this had to be passed by the House so that the Senate could get it before Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or whatever other artificial deadline they could manufacture.

The so-called public “option” which was critical at first, non-negotiable, a deal-breaker without it, was pronounced by Hank, cavalierly, that, it was, you know, not all that important.  But what WAS important was to get the bill passed.

So, the next list of holidays is approaching and all of a sudden, health skare is not the top priority.  (I think someone ought to find a way how We the People can get our money back spent for time and resources by Congress for this mess.) 

Now, excuse me for thinking clearly but do you smell a rat? How could something be soooo critical that it had to be passed THEN but as time went on, despite the false deadlines, the most important part of it as far as taking over the economy is concerned is no longer critical?  And now, “health care. Yeah, sure we are working on it, we will letcha know when we have something, but, now, let’s find y’all jobs!”

Hank does not care about the banks. He cares about controlling the banks. He does not care about the car manufacturers, he cares about controlling that portion of manufacturing and ultimately transportation.  He does not care about health care, he cares about controlling 1/6^th of the economy and ultimately who lives and dies.

Do you not find it odd that the newspapers who were crying for a bailout did not get a cent?  Could it be because they are already in Hank’s hip pocket?  (That and as their readership declines so does their influence.  I am not saying that is the reason. It just struck me as odd.)

So, as I have said many times, this guy is like a magician.  He will try to distract us by having us look somewhere else as he does something right in front of us. 

I am sure that in Wednesday’s speech he will read eloquently from his TelePrompTer as he tells us about the jobs he will create and has created.  He will say that he created a few million jobs yet will either not mention that there are 7,500,000 more unemployed than when he took office. (Or, he will blame Bush.)

He will not mention that the stim package created other jobs and it is unlikely that he will mention that package but he may ask for another.  One, no doubt that will have to be passed in 30, 60, 90 days.  Someone PLEASE tell him if he keeps helping us, we will ALL be out of jobs! 

And he will make us feel bad about Brown winning but pay some lip service to wanting to work with him.  About the same way that a titmouse works with a hawk. 

And he will tell us how he wants to “help” us.

There is talk about employers setting up IRA type plans for employees, reducing the monthly bill for paying back college loans (and you know that the gov’t is the only entity that provides college loans), cut in discretionary gov’tal spending, increasing child care tax credits and of course jobs as well as other issues that they have not thought out but sound good.

I will not go into detail here but this is one more way where the gov’t can tell a company and employees how to spend their money, potentially increasing the amount of interest over the life of a student loan, not indexing the child care tax credit on a regional basis and less. 

Need I say anything about jobs?   What happened to all those “shovel ready” projects that Hank & Co had in store?  Or, was that shovel used to push more pelosi on us?  And cutting gov’t “discretionary spending?  Oh, come now!  Stop it!  Tell ya what, Hank, make good on ONE of your promises and eliminate ear marks.  THAT will save billions right there.

But that is not enough.  Hank is busy re-inventing himself.  In the kind of “hard-hitting” interview that we have come to expect from ABC (the All Barack Channel), Diane Sawyer asked probing and provocative questions.  Well, not exactly, but she stopped short of asking Hank is favorite color and if he likes walks on the beach.

Yet, and I am still stunned at one of his statements.

He actually said “I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.”

Let that sink in for a moment.

Now, imagine2012 and this guy is re-elected.  Imagine how “mediocre”  the next four years would be.

No, Hank, you blew your chance to be even a mediocre one-term president about a year ago.

You want to make it up to us?

Stop lying, make good on ALL of your campaign promises, purge your cabinet and czars of those who are not in the mold of the Founding Fathers, get rid of Axelrod and Rahmbo then sit back and let We the People vote in a Congress that represents our will and kindly stay out of the way.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

In light of the Brown’s victory on Tuesday, SCOTUS getting it right on the 1^st Amendment, Skare Amerika going off the air (actually in some small perverted way, I will miss those ignorant anti-Americans), Hank’s poll numbers in the terlit (as they say in NY), Nasty Pelosi stating that health skare is dead (do not believe her.)

Yes, life, this week at least, is good.

But one quick thing before the meat of this FISH.

I have heard from a number of you regarding Scott Brown and his not being Pro-Life.  I s’pose with y’day being the anniversary of Roe, it was on more people’s mind than usual. I have said before and will say again, that I am Pro-Life and despite some very impassioned attempts to convince me that this is an acceptable procedure, I am steadfastly unconvinced.  But it is not I who is running for the Senate, so let’s look at Scott.

He did not run as a Pro-Life candidate.  He ran as a referendum against health skare and Hank and that resonated with We the People.  Yes, he is posturing himself as a “conservative” but I am not convinced yet.  To be fair, he is from Massachusetts and it is not difficult for someone to be branded or claim to be a conservative in that state.  There, as in other very Blue States, the bar is set so low that if you are not smoking pot, supporting abortion up until delivery, think Hank is the savior, well, you are a Conservative in their eyes.

Of course, seeing the groundswell of support he quickly realized that he would be better served by taking a Pro-Life position.  His history in the legislature is mixed, almost down the middle but with the edge to abortion “rights.”  Then again, in Mass, even that is considered as being “right wing” and to be fair, I have not, seen nor will I, the verbiage in all the bills. 

But, for sake of argument, let’s say he has either a tepid Pro-Life stance or seems to be opportunistic about it.

All things considered, he beats Coakely hands down on all points.  I hate to say the lesser of two evils but I would not have to hold my nose to vote for him as I am willing to give him a chance to prove himself.

Brown is in the unique position to have been the first person who was elected to Congress whose election had the ability to possibly de-rail the signature piece of a president’s agenda and galvanize the People from all over the Country who did what they could do to get him elected.  I am sure that he is acutely aware that ought he not do as he promised that We the People will not treat him kindly and marshal the same efforts employed to elect him to defeat him.

None of that is the point, though.  In listening to radio, news shows and reading various items, that which I heard and read all too often was that “Brown is not Pro-Life.”  Hearing this once, twice or even thrice would be one thing but being exposed to that line made me think that this was something that came down from the powers that be, a talking point circulated in the effort to make the good people to create a degree of buyer’s remorse.

To the naysayers, equivocators and liberal hacks: “You lost.”

Now, let Brown do his job.  If he disappoints us, we will deal with him on our own terms, we will defeat him.  If he does not, will simply say nyah-nyah-nyah!

Brown has one job and one job only, kill health skare which has less to do with health skare than it is a Trojan Horse for Marxism.

That said, I was re-re-re-reading the Constitution again, as is my wont.  And that reading confirmed that which I thought, we are not entitled to health care, free housing, free cars or plasma TV, free education, to have our homes rebuilt after a disaster, job training or any one of a litany of freebies.

The Constitution is the Law of the Land, it is not a PennySaver with a bunch of coupons in it.

We are entitled to Justice, Domestic Tranquility, to be safe, to have our welfare promoted and to be Blessed with Liberty.

There is little wiggle room.  It is what it is. It does not say judicial activism, domestic partnerships, to be safe but not to profile those who wish to kill us, a welfare state and the American Civil Liberties Union calling the shots.

Seriously, read that last paragraph again and tell me that it is not the platform of the Democrat Party.

I am of the belief, from what I have heard from the vast majority of those who have written to me over the years that we own our homes or pay rent, that we pay for our food and other expenses, we work or are retired from a job that either provides a pension or receiving social security benefits which we have paid into, or both, pay our taxes and so on.  We bought our cars, TVs, furniture, clothes and so on. Yes, there are some of us who canNOT do all that as they are disabled, yet every one of you who have said that they are disabled would far rather not be and be able to pay their own way.  For some reason, I have not heard from any of you who are proud to collect welfare and other benefits without contributing to the commonweal.      

Our grandparents and parents in some cases would not recognize what America has become. And we look at our kids and grandkids and scratch our heads wondering where they got their ideas. 

They did not get them at home in most cases, and even so, that is our fault if we are not watching what they are studying in school and meeting their teachers, or what they watch on TV or who their friends are.

Most of us have done a good job of parenting, otherwise you would not be as much of a patriot as you are.  But not all parents are as assiduous.  That said, even though the least common denominator, the short cut, the easy way out is oftimes the road more traveled by the youth today.  It is our job to identify what they are thinking and getting them back on the right track.

Perhaps I am too much of a romantic for the old days.  Perhaps I am just getting old and I am resisting change. Perhaps I see something pervasive in our Country that I do not like but I do not think it is too late to fix it. 

But that is not the domain of youth alone.  Far too many of our fellow Citizens are looking for hand-outs, the winning lottery ticket or something else that excludes the possibility of work to get their piece of the pie.

These people are what I like to call “Democrats.” They are not necessarily liberals but they are the ones who swallow hook, line and sinker the promises (read: lies) of the Dem politicians. 

How is that hope and change going for you?

All too many people unhappy with this or that or for any number or reasons voted in this president .  Fortunately, he has been working hard to undermine himself with his lies and missteps. Those who voted against the Republican party in ‘08 have come to realize that they were sold a bill of goods.

Here in the ‘Hood, I am surprised at the number of people who are not only disenchanted with Hank but did not vote for him in the first place.  And it is not just Hank, it is the other poverty pimps like $harpton, Barron and others who do their best to keep the people in a state where they are dependent on the gov’t to cure their ills rather than going out and standing on their own two feet.

That mentality is not unique to the ‘Hood, but all across our Great Country where the marginalized and needy have bought into the pack of lies and now see that they were had, were played, were used and they do not like it.

The vote for Brown was an analogy for the vote in ’08, people are unhappy with what is going on and they want some kind of change, but not shrouded in lies.

With the internet becoming more of the source of choice for people getting their information there, the impact of the LSM is becoming less and less. Yes, they are powerful still but their influence is diluted with every web site someone visits.

Perhaps that was a major reason for Brown’s victory.  Coakely did not campaign as hard sitting on a 3:1 Dem to Rep voter base. What she misunderestimated was the fact that she was not all that well liked in her home state and regardless if they liked Tedward or not.  He was so entrenched in the Senate, wielded so much power that he brought a lot of pork to the state.  (He brought a lot of pork to the Senate as well!)  Her running for Kennedy’s seat and expecting a win would like me putting on a Yankee shirt with a big “7” on the back and expecting to hit like Mickey Mantle.  She is a victim of her own liberality.

Her flawed logic and her laziness was a large part of her crushing defeat but a more educated voter base was perhaps even larger.

Even in casual conversations that I have with folks, I am surprised when someone mentions a Senator or C’man or more surprisingly the name of someone running against an incumbent, particularly from another state.  We the People are getting more educated and shrewder and with this comes less of a likelihood of just voting party line.

Look at the town hall meetings.  Look at the success of the Tea Party events.  Look at the results in Massachusetts

Forget about running the gov’t, we need to take our Country back.  The way it is starting to look, I like our chances.

Apropos of that, and just in case you do not think that We the People are making some kind of impact. For instance, some of you may have seen your tax dollars at work.  Yes, your tax dollars fund National Public Radio and their outreach on some TV channels.

You might find it interesting to know that NPR considers themselves, now get this, “conservatives.”  Stop laughing.  But, check out the link below and draw your own concussions.  After all, you paid for it!  (Well, not all of it, of course.  But, do you want even one of your dollars to pay for this?  *  )

Lastly, and just a casual observation.   Y’day, as mentioned, was the anniversary of Roe. There was a huge peaceful rally/demonstration in DC as well as many other burgs around the nation.  While previous Presidents gave at least lip service to this event, Hank took the other route, he affirmed his support for Roe. Then this coward high-tailed it to Ohio where he gave one of his hand-picked audience “town hall” kind of meetings.

Apparently Hank was in such a hurry to lam out of DC that he forgot a tie. Not for anything, but I am one of those guys who thinks that his President ought to look Presidential, especially if he canNOT act as one.   I would druther him show up in flip-flops, board shorts and a t-shirt with his Marlboro’s rolled up in the sleeve than wearing a shirt and jacket without a tie. 

He never ceases to disappoint.

My Dear Friends and Fellow Patriots:

God, I love my Country.  What an amazing few days.

First off, the ice in my canal has melted (prolly that darn Gore-bal warming.)  That is a good thing.  But I was thinking that nature abhors a vacuum.  So, I am not saying, but I am just saying that in light of the ice in my canal melting, perhaps hell froze over.

Midnight the Wonder Dog would prolly had run a better campaign than did Marsha (If it is good enough for a Kennedy, it is good enough for me) Coakley.  But, even so, would that she had ran a tougher campaign there is no guarantee that she would have won or We the People would be less energized.

(And I wanted to write this particular guppy about that election, but there are other Fish to fry….)`

The SCOTUS ruled y’day in the case of Citizens Union v. FCC.  Basically it overturned McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform, against which I have railed on many occasions.*  (Now, if we can get the court to overturn McC himself and the rest of the RINOS…)

This is a huge win for us all and in particular for those of us who are fond of Free Speech.  As I, and many others far brighter than I am, have alleged, McC-Feingold is an impingement of Speech as it limits how corporations can contribute to political campaigns.  And finally SCOTUS agreed.

Be that as it may, the reprehensible Chuck Schumer does not see it that way. In fact he went off on a blistering tirade against the ruling.  In fact, he seemed angry and mad!  No, this jerk (apologies to jerks everywhere) sees this not as free speech but the ability of corporations to buy votes.

Of course this would hold more water were it to be true and if Schemer was out of the fray.  You see, of the top 50 industries, the Dems receive more funds in 96% of the cases,**

And it is not a surprise that Schemer is the top recipient in eleven of the industries. (Thirteen if you count Kiki Jellobrand.  Amazing, really, she has been an Assistant Senator for, what, something like three weeks now, or so it seems, and she gets more money from two groups than do the 533 other MOC?? Go figger.)  (Oh, and look at the laundry list of others on the list.  Try to spot the Republicans.)

I wonder if he would be so energetic if the AFL-CIO, SEIU, AFSCME, ACLU, Teamsters, IWU, TWU etc, etc, etc were barred from making contributions? (And the list is not exactly spot on when it comes to unions, BTW.) I am sure he would weasel his way out of that.  I mean, after all, those are the donations made by workers!  Voluntarily!  Joe Six-Packs and all!  (Of course, that is a lie.  Your union dues go to the union’s political fund and they will donate your money as they see fit.  Try to tell Teamster General President Hoffa that you do not want your dues to go to a particular candidate or party.  Ask him to not take that amount out of your pay packet.  Ask him to please stop laughing.)

And, really, Chuckie was PO’d BIG TIME! (Check out the link below. ***  There is a video clip mid-page.  Bring a hankie, Chuckie makes it like a tear-jerker.)   I mean, if this is allowed to happen, corporations will buy the next election, he cavils!  (Again, neglecting the fact that the Dems are in the hip pockets of most of the industries.)   The clip must have been cut off before he got to add “like the Unions and extreme Left Wing groups bought the LAST election.  (And BOY, did THEY get gypped!)

Now, sit back for a second and think about the top three industries that the Dems complain the most about.  The Auto Industry, Oil and Gas and Commercial Banks.  This may come as a surprise to you but of the top  50 industries only the car makers and oil companies give more money to the Reps than they do the Dems and commercial banks still favor Dems but by a small margin.

I am trying to remember when the last time the Dems said that the building trades, public sector employees, industrial unions or lawyers paid to play.  Can ya help a brother out here?  That is because those four groups line the pockets of the Dems by better than a nine-to-one ratio.

I am shocked!  And almost angry and mad!

Even so, this idjit is demanding that the law be looked into.

There was an encroachment on the First Amendment that did in fact abrogate a portion of speech.  It was brought to court and was found to be swell, possibly by some Left leaning judges.  (I am not saying…)  Appeals upheld the lower courts and it finally made its way to the last court of appeals, the Supreme Court.  By a 5-4 margin it was found to be, well, since the SCOTUS deals with matters of Constitutionality, I reckon Mc-F was found unConstitutional.  (And I am shocked that noted justice, Sonny-Girl, did not vote with the white hats.)     

But even when the SCOTUS deems something unConstitutional, Chuckie wants to have hearings on the ruling.

I am sorry, not really, but one of the reasons that we are in the condition that we are in is that you have, let me chose my words very carefully, ideologically driven miscreants who are patently ignorant of the Constitution.

Now, I may be wrong, and if there is someone out there who can correct me, please do.  But, I remember from grade school that once a case was heard in the SCOTUS, that was it.  There are no do-overs, no second chances, win lose or draw, that is the end of it.

So, how can, what is the rationale, who said that Chuckie Baby can have a hearing on the rendering of the SCOTUS decision?  Has this genius (and credit where credit is due, he is a smart man, 1600 on his SATs, Harvard Law. Too bad he learned nothing since. Or, was he absent from class on those days?

Oh, well, so far Chuckie was glad to hear from me, values my input and looks forward to addressing my concerns.  I am holding my breath.

Now, today is 22 January.  And finally Hank has kept one of his promises.  You see, he promised, he swore on a stack of Korans, Bagwad Geetas, Scriptures and Bibles that GITMO will be closed within one year of his inauguration. 

He kept his word and the sun-drenched prison on Cuba has finally….

Wha….

Huh?......

No way!

He promised!

Now I am angry and mad.

I do apologize.  Apparently GITMO is not closed and from her Sambucca induced fog (she, as do I, prefer “Opal Nera” for this particular quaff) the Muse slurred that “it is not even close, it is not even on the radar any more or a high priority.  

Despite the fact, or perhaps because of it, that the Feds want to buy a prison in Illinois (no appearance of a conflict there, huh?) at the behest of Sens. “Little” Dick Durbin and Roland “Not-even-one-term” Burris. 

There is a prison some 150 miles from the epicenter of political corruption that has been underused due to budget issues.  Sooooo….this is a fine place to house some of the most dangerous people on the planet.  (And the budget factors in…. how?)

So, as much as a shock as this is, it appears to this casual observer that Hank is still  0-for-Intinity

But, please take some small pity on the Chosen One.

You see, one of his heroes, one for which he has had a man-crush for ages, Hugo Chavez, has verbally pants-ed him.

Now, I am not sure which hurt Hank more:

1)      Chavez saying that we are occupying Haiti undercover, alluding that we invaded the soon to be 52^nd state (or 58^th or 59^th on the Obama Map.)

2)      Chavez said that the earthquake was caused by a US Navy weapon.  (Apparently Hugo knows as much about physics, geology, geophysics, ordnance as does Schemer does about the Constitution and not being a smarmy despicable reptile.)

3)      Chavez dropped Hank as a friend on Facebook.

I have purposely avoided the sad subject of Haiti and I will continue until I can get someone to decipher the loas that are on the sidewalk in front of my building.  (And I am not kidding about the loas.  And not for anything, and I am not making this up, there is a shop up the block the sells live animals, and it is not a pet shop.  They have both kinds of chickens, those for eating and those for sacrifice. )  But one of these days I will have to.

So, recap, bad week for Hank in particular, the Dems (Libs) in general but good for We the People.  Brown elected, 1^st Amendment upheld, health skare allegedly dead and so on.

Lastly, I received this from Howie, a dear friend and reader in Beautiful Downtown Bangkok.  With his permission. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  (BTW, “zero” is Howie’s pet name for Hank.)

“I just came up with a new name for zero.  How do you like "Barry Badware".  It replicates and infects, it makes every attempt to steal money, it is hard to clean up, and is full of false advertising.  It just popped up said it would fix everything and instead made us crash. 

I just googled it with the quotes and nothing was found.”
