54 Year-Old Female and 67 Year-Old Male Arrested for Harassment
Subject was driving a Newsday truck when he hit a bump in the roadway and was ejected from the passenger side open door. The truck, now driverless, hit the Bellmore Post Office. Building was unoccupied and no one was injured. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

10/01/2011 Town of Oyster Bay to Host Annual Family Fall and Halloween Festival - Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto invites residents and their families to the Town of Oyster Bay at the third annual Family Fall and Halloween Festival, located on Saturday, October 1, it will be held at Marjorie R. Post Community Park, Unqua and Merrick Roads in Massapequa, from 1 to 4 pm.
10/01/2011 Breast Cancer Awareness at County Executive Building - 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, NY Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will host a ceremony on Saturday, October 1, 2011 to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Nassau County. When there is sufficient darkness, all in attendance will gather outside for the official Pink Illumination of the dome. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an initiative to increase awareness of breast cancer issues, especially the importance of early detection. Guests are invited to arrive at 6 pm for light refreshments, followed by a brief program in the Ceremonial Chambers.
