The Seventh Precinct reports the details of an arrest for public lewdness that occurred in Massapequa on Friday, 07/23/10 at 5:27 P.M. According to a female victim, 38, while walking with her two children, ages 4 and 6, in a parking lot in front of 5125 Merrick Rd., she observed defendant James Calisto, 52, of 172 Merrick Rd., Merrick, sitting in his car with his pants down, fully exposed in front of her and her children. The defendant then drove away in his vehicle and the victim notified police. Seventh Precinct Police Officers located Calisto on Merrick Rd./Arlyn Dr. where they placed him under arrest. The victim did positively identify the defendant and his vehicle. Calisto is being charged with Public Lewdness, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket returnable on Wednesday, 08/11/10 to First District Court, Hempstead.

Burger King Employee -- Crack Cocaine Arrest
Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives report the details of two arrests for criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance that occurred in Merrick on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 6:35 P.M. According to detectives, Michael Grandberry, 41, of 86 Oak St., Freeport, while working at Burger King located at 1727 Merrick Rd., went to the parking lot of the restaurant and sold crack cocaine to a male subject. A short time later, the defendant was observed entering a waiting vehicle. Detectives stopped the vehicle on Merrick Rd. and found the driver Memphis Hightower, Jr., 42, of 411 Liberty Park Ave., Freeport, to be in possession of a crack stem and crack cocaine. Grandberry is being charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance Third Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, July 23, 2010 in First District Court, Hempstead. Hightower is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Seventh Degree and was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket returnable on Monday, August 9, 2010, also in First District Court.
