According to detectives, defendant Andrew Grossbard 22, of 5 Winthrop Road, Plainview altered his prescription for oxycodone to indicate that there were three refills. Staff at the doctor’s office, located on Merrick Road, reviewed a photocopy of the prescription after the defendant left the office, observed the refill box had been altered and alerted the physician. The defendant surrendered himself at the Seventh Precinct Stationhouse on 7/14/10 at 11:15 P.M. and was charged with Forgery 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead on 7/15/10.
