The Arrest Report 04/06/10
Police officers were patrolling the vicinity of Brooklyn Avenue and Sunrise Highway due to numerous larcenies from autos in that area.Officers observed defendant Demond Small, 31, of 33 King Street Wyandanch, in the area acting nervously and discarding flashlight and center punch tools as the officers approached.Upon further investigation it was determined the defendant was in possession of proceeds from two larcenies that occurred on Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.As officers attempted to take the defendant into custody he fled on foot and damaged a fence at a residence located on Taylor Avenue and also resisted officers by flailing his arms and legs.The defendant while in custody in the Seventh Precinct holding cell kicked both walls causing substantial damage.
