NASSAU COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS LOOKING FOR ELECTION DAY POLL WORKERS
The Nassau County Board of Elections announced that there are still openings to work as a Nassau County Poll Worker for the upcoming elections.
Election Day Poll Worker opportunities are available in locations throughout Nassau County. Work schedule is typically 5:15am to Poll Close. Pay starts at $180 for the day and $25.00 for a 2 hour training class required to perform the task.
The responsibilities are to assist voters with the democratic voting process on Election Day. You will be trained on properly signing voters in, guiding them to their correct voting machine and ensuring their vote is executed in private and secure manner.
To apply for this position you must be a Nassau County resident, registered to vote and 18 years or older. You must be available to report to your assigned polling place at 5:15 a.m. on Elections Day and work till polls close. You are also required to sign up for a 2 hour training class held in Mineola at various times the week before the Election.
Democratic Commissioner Biamonte said, “We are delighted to offer job opportunities to Nassau voters during these tough economic times. Protecting the vote of Nassau residents is an extremely important job and we look forward to training and hiring more people to do it.”
